Bannermania
History
Bannermania is an annual neighbourhood celebration that really shows our community spirit. Many community-based businesses and partners come together to give our neighbourhood a block party for the ages!
Bannermania 2020
This year, we will be celebrating our Third Annual Bannermania as a merged event to celebrate Community League Day on September 19th from 4:30-7:30pm. To encourage neighbourhood cohorts to visit within AHS guidelines in light of Covid-19, we are spreading the event out throughout the community to offer smaller block party stations that will allow for the recommended 200 guests to attend without over-crowding. We will have a community representative to host each site and guide patrons through appropriate physical distancing as they connect with their neighbours.

We have four food trucks, one at each of the four stations shown on the map. The following food will be offered:
We will also have roving entertainers to perform in a socially-distanced manner. This may include poets and speakers, stilt-walkers, and mascots - more details to come soon! We are looking to include local partners and businesses to sponsor the cost of entertainers or provide corporate entertainment. We are seeking entertainment from within Bannerman to display the many talents our community has to offer. We will have the entertainers move to a new food station every 20 minutes so that all our neighbours can enjoy their presence without having to go very far from their own backyard.

- Go Nuts for Donuts - Mini-donut station
- Guilt Free Eats - Vegan and Gluten-Free Options
- Simba Catering and Grill - African Cuisine (Halal options)
- Poutine World - 11 types of poutine (vegetarian and gluten-free options)
