Education Programs

We work with the following groups in order to ensure our residents can get appropriate education and programs for their family:

E 4C Head Start

Bannerman Parent Group: 9:30 am – 11:30 am (Morning) 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm (Afternoon) for children 0-5 years old

The Early Head Start program is designed as a one day a week program that provides comprehensive support to families. This program is offered for families and their pre-school aged children with a focus on forming connections, strengthening community, building courage, and increasing capacity of the people that E4C serves.

The Play group offers a chance for children to socialize with peers, experience new activities, work through separation anxiety and get accustomed to a routine that helps prepare children for school. There is a focus on Early Literacy as well as providing opportunities for children to participate in activities that they might not have been exposed to before

Youth Nights

​The Family Centre, in partnership with nearby John D. Bracco School, helps deliver Clareview Youth Night. Coaches and facilitators work with ethnocultural youth who need support adjusting to life in Canada or reconnecting to their culture.

Youth Night activities include

• guest speakers who deliver talks on topics chosen by the youth
• healthy nutrition and healthy eating of culturally-appropriate food
• a variety of recreational activities that promote a healthy lifestyle
• creative activities for the youth to learn from each other about their different cultural backgrounds

No fees for participating youth.
