​History

In 2019, Bannerman in Action was conceived in an attempt to bring neighbours together by introducing those who needed some assistance with a 2-3 hour task with neighbours who wanted to lend a helping hand. The event was such a success - identifying 21 neighbours who wanted to meet those in their community who has specific skills and talent, and then recruiting a whopping 80 volunteers who thrive on community spirit.

​Get Involved

On May 29, 2021 9am - 12 noon, Bannerman neighbours will celebrate what it means to be a part of a community that cares for our third annual Bannerman in Action.


In response to the risk of Covid-19, we will only be doing outside activities with covid masking and distancing protocols in place. 

Activities for the 2021 Bannerman in Action include

• Landscaping (gardening, lawn care, spring pet clean up, etc.)
• Exterior House Repairs (painting, small construction projects, outside projects, etc.)
• General Community Litter Clean Up with a family team
• Help us create a mountain of diapers to donate to families in need in the community!
• Enjoy a free Ice Cream or Popsicle at one of our ice cream cart locations (Bannerman Community Hall, Clareview II, Bethel Church, 20th Street along the green space)
• Watch your mailbox for our Bannerman A Community that Cares poster, please place it in your window and take a selfie in it to be entered to win a prize. Email your selfie to [email protected]
